2. Which carriers do you have relationships with?

We partner with a mix of “A” rated carriers and specialty markets, ensuring competitive pricing and broad coverage. Additionally, we offer exclusive programs tailored to certain industries.

3. In which states are you licensed or authorized to place business?

R.E. Chaix is authorized to place business in all 50 states. Some states may require additional licensing, so please reach out for specifics.

4. Do you offer any unique coverages or proprietary endorsements?

Yes, we provide proprietary endorsements like broad-form pollution liability and enhanced cyber packages. These products are designed to address gaps in traditional policies.

Becoming Appointed

1. What is the process for becoming an appointed agent?

Becoming an appointed agent is a simple process. Fill out the form on our Contact Page to receive the appointment packet. Submit that back to us signed by an authorized representative of your company as well as a current copy of your state(s) insurance license and E&O coverage or certificate. Additionally, FATCA regulations require that R.E. Chaix obtains an updated IRS W-9 form for our tax records.

2. Are there minimum production or licensing requirements?

There are no minimum production requirements but we do require the retail broker to be licensed in the insured’s “home” state.

3. Is there an appointment fee or any other associated costs?

There is no appointment fee.

4. How long does the appointment process typically take?

The process takes about 1-2 business days, provided all required documentation is submitted promptly.

5. Do you offer ongoing support or training for newly appointed agents?

Yes, we provide onboarding sessions, live webinars, and will make ourselves available via email or phone to ensure your success.

Quoting & Submissions

1. How do I submit a quote request?

Quote requests can be submitted via our online portal or by emailing submissions to your dedicated R.E. Chaix broker.

2. What information is required for a complete submission?

The exact requirements will change based on the type of submission, but often a complete submission includes an ACORD application, loss runs, supplemental questionnaires, and any relevant underwriting information. 3. Do you offer online quoting capabilities or do I need to submit manually?

Yes, our online portal allows for quoting certain lines directly. Manual submissions are required for more complex risks.

4. How quickly can I expect to receive a quote?

Standard risks are typically quoted within 24-48 hours, while complex submissions may take up to 5 business days.

5. Can I bind coverage online, or is prior approval always required?

Binding must be submitted to RE Chaix broker for approval.

6. What is your process for handling urgent submissions or last-minute changes?

For urgent cases, please mark submissions as “URGENT” and contact your broker team directly. We’ll do our best to expedite processing.

Commissions & Payments

1. How is the commission structure determined?

Standard commission rates average 10%, depending on the line of business and volume. Custom arrangements may be available for high production agencies.

2. When and how are commissions paid?

Commissions are paid monthly via direct deposit. Statements are sent by email or available on the portal.

3. Do you offer agency bill or direct bill options?

Both options are available and are simple to handle. Please specify prior to binding.

4. How can I access commission statements or payment history?

Log into our Agent Portal to access detailed commission reports and payment history.

5. Are there any incentives or bonus programs for high production?

Yes, we offer bonus tiers and additional incentives for agencies exceeding certain production targets.

Underwriting & Policy Servicing

1. Who is my primary contact for underwriting questions or referrals?

Each agent is assigned a dedicated broker. Contact details are provided during onboarding.

2. How do I request policy changes or endorsements?

Changes and endorsements can be emailed to your broker directly.

3. Do you offer risk management resources or loss control services?

Yes, we provide risk assessments, checklists, and access to industry-specific resources to minimize exposures.

4. Can I access policy documents and endorsement forms online?

All policy documents are available through our secure agent portal.

5. Do you provide marketing support or co-branded materials?

Absolutely! We offer customizable brochures, sales flyers, and other digital materials to support your client-facing efforts.

6. How quickly do you process renewals or re-marketing requests?

Renewal reviews typically start 60 days prior to expiration, with terms provided no later than 30 days before.

Claims Handling

1. What is the process for reporting a claim on behalf of an insured?

Please submit a claims notice directly to the RE Chaix broker. RE Chaix does not handle or adjust claims. All claims are handled by the insurance carrier.

2. Do you have a dedicated claims team or does the carrier handle everything?

Insurance Carrier handles all the claims.

3. Can I track the status of a claim?

You may request status of a claim directly to your RE Chaix broker.

4. Who handles claim disputes or escalations?

Insurance Carrier handles all claim disputes or escalations.

5. Are you available to assist in complex claims situations?

No, RE Chaix does not handle or participate in claims situations.

Technology & Support

1. Do you provide a dedicated agent portal for quoting and policy management?

Yes, our portal offers quoting, policy tracking, and access to key documents.

2. Which agency management systems do you integrate with?

RE Chaix uses Dyad – ALIS systems and does not integrate with any other system.

3. How do I reset my login credentials or troubleshoot portal errors?

Use the “Forgot Password” link on the portal login page or contact marketing@rechaixinsurance.com.

4. Who is my contact for technical support?

Contact our Marketing Team for technical support.

5. Do you offer API access or any custom integrations?

No, RE Chaix does not offer API or custom integrations.
