John Lomax began his insurance career in the late 1990s as a Debit Insurance Agent and has since built a wealth of experience in the field. After serving as a Senior Underwriter for Energy, Oil & Gas at Western Surplus for 13 years, John joined R.E. Chaix in 2019 as a Broker specializing in Energy, Oil & Gas risks. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom III, John’s diverse background includes military service, higher education, and years of insurance expertise.

John brings a methodical and informed perspective to his role. His dedication to professionalism and strong client relationships underscores his commitment to providing tailored solutions for every client.

John and his wife, Heidi, are active in their local church and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, cycling, and hiking. A lifelong learner, John has a passion for studying eschatology. He also enjoys reading and spending time with their family.
